February 15 2012, MARYVILLE TENNESSEE – Danny Davis Electric Company has announced the grand opening of their solar installation division this spring, with the installation of a 32.2kW Grid Interactive Photovoltaic System that is being mounted on the roof of Danny Davis Electric’s corporate offices in Maryville, Tennessee.

The system will improve the company’s energy efficiency, reducing the amount of electricity expended by 42,327 kilowatt hours annually, this equates to the annual usage of 8 average homes. Throughout the twenty-five year warranted lifetime of the system, the array will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 725 tons of CO². The system, commissioned on February 9, was made possible by Federal Tax Credits and supported through the TVA Generation Partners Program.
